SpotAware is a community-powered app that helps users avoid wasted trips by reporting non-working businesses, ATMs, government offices, or any temporarily unavailable place.

How does SpotAware work?

SpotAware helps people share real-time information about places and locations. Users can drop a pin on the map at their current location (within 1,000 meters) to report conditions, alerts, updates, or other useful information. Other users can explore the map, search any location worldwide, and view pins shared by the community to stay informed before they go.

Can other people see who dropped a pin?

No. SpotAware does not display your identity on any pin you drop. Other users cannot see your name, email address, profile, or any account information associated with a pin. Pins only show the information you choose to share about the location, helping keep the focus on the place—not the person who reported it.

Why should I use SpotAware?

To save time and avoid the frustration of visiting places that are out of service. SpotAware lets you check real-time alerts before you head out.

How do I place a pin on the map?

You must be within 1,000 meters of the location. Once you're nearby, log in to your account and add a pin with a short comment describing the issue.

Can I place a pin on a location I'm not currently near?

No, pins can only be added if you are physically within 1,000 meters of the location to ensure accuracy and prevent false reporting.

How can I view pins added by others?

Simply search any area using the search bar. Pins added by others will be displayed on the map, so you can explore what's happening in different places worldwide.

Do pins stay on the map forever?

No. Pins automatically expire and are removed from the map after 12 hours to ensure information remains relevant and up to date.

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. Guests can see pins on the map. To view pins and read remarks, create a free account. Pro is only needed for unlimited pin views.

Is my location data private?

Yes, your location is only used to verify your proximity when placing a pin and is not shared with other users.

Is the app free to use?

Yes, SpotAware is free to use. Free users can explore the map, view up to 300 pins, and drop unlimited pins at no cost. Upgrade to SpotAware Pro for unlimited pin views and future premium features.

What if someone places a fake or misleading pin?

If you find a pin that appears inaccurate or misleading, please contact us through our website with the location and details. We review user feedback and take appropriate action when necessary.

Can I edit or delete a pin I placed?

In the current version of SpotAware, users cannot edit or delete pins after placing them.

Which platforms is SpotAware available on?

SpotAware is available on both Android and iOS devices.

Does SpotAware require an internet connection?

Yes. An internet connection is required to search locations, drop pins, and view nearby alerts.

What happens after I reach 300 pin views?

Once you've viewed 300 pins, you'll need to upgrade to SpotAware Pro to continue viewing additional pins. You can still drop pins and contribute to the community for free.
